Today the people who brought you F1 2012 and Dirt, Codemasters, have announced that they are to be expanding their online racing game F1 Online: The Game with new features and new circuits.
The game is currently in open Beta but it is already being infused with three new Japanese circuits inspired by Tokyo. ‘Kitamachi Kaido’ has player zipping round the tight corners of the financial district, ‘Higashi Kokado’ has them racing over an elevated expressway though docklands and ‘Ryokuen Route’ is an extensive race through parks and past Imperial Places.
New High-Performance A-class components, new Team Headquarters upgrades and a new Friends system allowing players to race against their friends are also included in the update. Exending the game further, new Team Objectives now mean that you can sign up and log-in via Facebook.
F1 Online: The Game allows you to build, race and manage your own racing team, flying through multiplayer races in a ranger of game modes and deciding just how your team will develop over time.
F1 Online: The Game is available to play via your browser but thanks to the Unity game engine, the graphics delivered are much higher than many other browser games.
